Cubaña started as a single cell business and within a year and a half the first franchised store was opened, simply because we could not expand beyond the geographical restrictions of our first store. Claremont was the first franchised store and it was such a huge success that it only took us half the time to open the next one. The next store was Tableview and this is one of our biggest success stories to date. We managed to raise the profile of Tableview from a hole in the wall to a destination with little comparison in the Western Cape. Needless to say, but thereafter Head Office got bombarded with franchise applications. Our Executive though, opted to halt any further growth in the group and gave us all two years to perfect the brand and all that goes with it. Today, amongst other businesses, Cubaña is nothing less than 10 super-stores strong with an applications-list twice as long as before. We are proud of what we have created and are not prepared to let anyone have a part of it unless we are absolutely sure that our passion is alike.
